Ways to Join the Indian Military Academy After the 12th:
Once you pass class, there are basically two ways through which you can be part of the Indian Military Academy and become an officer in the Indian Army after the completion of the training.
National Defence Academy (NDA):
One of the primary ways to join the IMA after the 12th grade is through the National Defence Academy. The NDA is a joint services academy that trains cadets for the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
To join the NDA, candidates must appear for the NDA entrance examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The exam consists of a written test followed by an interview and a medical examination.
10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES):
The 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme is another opportunity for candidates who have completed their 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
The TES is conducted twice a year, and candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in a written examination, interview, and medical examination.
Basic Eligibility Criteria to Join IMA:

IMA Selection Process:
The selection process for the Indian Military Academy consists of the following stages. But the Selection process for NDA is a bit different as compared to the TES 10+2 examination.
First Stage of Selection:
NDA Entry:
Once you are done with the Application Form. The NDA conducts the Written Exam to shortlist the candidates for the SSB Interview. Candidates need to qualify for a written examination conducted by the UPSC. The written exam covers subjects like English, General Knowledge, and Mathematics.
TES 10+2 Entry:
While in the TES 10+2 Entry. The Shortlisting of the candidates for the SSB Interview is done on the basis of the marks scored in the class 12th examination. Rest of the Selections to Join the Indian Military Academy after the first stage is similar for both.
SSB Interview:

Training at the Indian Military Academy After Selection:
