Other than IMA there are various other academies like the NDA (National Defence Academy), Officers Training Academy (OTA), INA (Indian Naval Academy), and AFA (Air Force Academy). All of these provided training to cadets and make men out of boys. After passing out from any of the above academies, the candidates can join the Indian Army as commissioned officers.
