The Indian Navy has Launched Operation Samudra Setu-II for the supply of Oxygen and other covid-19 related requirements from friendly foreign countries. As we are aware that in this pandemic situation we need more Oxygen-filled containers to supply from the remote areas of India so we can save maximum life from this deadly coronavirus.
Indian Navy deployed the seven Indian Naval ships to help in faster transportation of medical oxygen and other equipment that help to alleviate this situation. These warships are Kolkata, Kochi, Talwar, Tabar, Trikand, Jalashwa, and Airavat.
Why Operation Samudra Setu-II Needed?
In this worsening situation, we need more medical oxygen from overseas, and only the Indian Naval Ships can transport heavy Oxygen-filled containers quickly. That’s why the Indian Navy take the decision to launch Operation Samudra Setu-II to fast the transportation of necessary equipment along with Oxygen.

As you know our brave soldiers always ready to fight for the nation and how they can be in the last row in this pandemic situation. So they also contribute to minimizing the no of deaths due to the lack of Oxygen in this country.
Some Key points of Operation Samudra Setu-II:-
- INS Kolkata and INS Talwar have sent to Port of Manama, Bahrain, to carry back 40 tonnes of liquid oxygen to Mumbai.
- INS Jalashwa is for Bangkok while the INS Airavat is on its way to Singapore for taking Oxygen and Some covid related equipment.
- Four warships are also on their way to Qatar and Kuwait, to ferry around 27-ton Oxygen tanks and more than 1500 oxygen cylinders from the two countries.
- INS Shardul is also on its way to the Persian Gulf to bring three liquid oxygen-filled cryogenic containers.
