5 REASONS OF REJECTION IN SSB

Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.” – Napoleon Hill
These words perfectly describe the journey of all those “repeater” candidates who got recommended after facing repeated failures. There is no denying that rejection hurts, but above it what hurts the most is the feeling of not being enough. But whenever you face rejection from SSB, do not forget that SSB is a complicated procedure and sometimes the best of the best candidates are seen getting rejected. I have seen many recommended candidates getting screened out in different boards and vice versa, that too in a short span of a few months gap only.
But it’s not just the circumstances always. So do proper introspection of reasons of rejection In SSB
on where you lacked and start working on it. If I put it in the words of Denis Waitley,
“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is a delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.”

REASONS OF REJECTION IN SSB

Even after having all the OLQs sometimes, candidates don’t get recommended.
In this article, I’ll tell you about a few possible reasons for your rejection.

WHY IT HAPPENED-

a) MISMATCH OF MANSA, VACHA, AND KARMA-

Perfect blend of qualities is a must for SSB. You may have all the required qualities but in SSB it is mandatory that all three assessors, Psychologists, GTO, and I.O. give you thumps up for a recommendation. So it is a high chance that maybe one of them couldn’t see your OLQs.

b)DESPERATION-

Candidates show desperation for selection and dig their own graves. A Desperate candidate is usually a stressed and fake one and makes it hard for the assessors to see your real qualities. So no matter which number of SSB you are going to face, avoid getting desperate and stressed. Just Be Yourself, that’s what SSB is looking for.

c) OVER CONFIDENCE

In contrast to the last reason, sometimes a candidate gets overconfident about himself because of the reviews of their batch mates, friends, or loved ones. This kind of attitude will hamper your real personality in the whole SSB interview process, especially during G.T.O. So, do not get in over your head about yourself as it will stop your growth as an individual.

d) LACK OF POWER OF EXPRESSION

Every act is a form of self-expression. Many a time, candidates focus more on what to speak and not on how to speak. Studies have shown that around 93% of your communication matters on non-verbal communication. So focus more on how you represent yourself in every test

REASONS OF REJECTION IN SSB

e) MISGUIDANCE

One of the major reason for rejection in SSB is misguidance of candidates by various inexperienced coaching centers. Having proper guidance is a necessary part of your preparation strategy for victory,, but few coaching centers coach the students in their set pattern which diminishes the uniqueness of the candidates. Coached candidates never get recommended, as assessors see through them.

At last, I would like to quote Chris Bradford, “There is no failure except in no longer trying.” There’s always a way when your will is stronger than the obstacles in your life. Do proper introspection and keep trying until you succeed. JAI HIND
