If you guys are aware of the selection process of the National Defense Academy examination. The Selection Process of the CDS Exam is completely the same as the NDA Examination. The Only difference would be in the syllabus and exam pattern of the exam. Here we will see the complete selection process and exam Pattern of CDS 2020. The CDS Exam is conducted by the Union Public service Commission twice in a year for the selection of the Officers into the Indian Armed forces.
NDA V/S CDS, Which is Better to Join?
All the candidates who have done the graduation with the physics and mathematics at 10+2 level are eligible to apply for this exam. A candidate must have physics and mathematics at 10+_2 level. Graduation in any stream from any recognized Institute or University is accepted.

The Age of the candidate should not be more than 24 years old on the date of commencement of the course. The age also should not be less than 19 years old. The age must be between 19 years old to 24 years old.

Selection Process of CDS 2/2020:
The Selection of the candidate through the CDS Examination will be done in three phases. It is mandatory to clear all the three phases of selection. here is the process of selection of CDS Examination.
- Written Exam
- SSB Interview
- Medical Examination
A candidate will have to clear all these phases of the selection. The Written exam is easy as compared to the SSB (Service Selection Board) Interview.
The shortlisting of the candidates for the SSB Interview will be done on the basis of the marks scored in the Written examination. First, you have to clear the written examination and then all the selected candidates in the written examination will proceed for the SSB Interview and then medical test, etc. There is no such physical test that helps separately. Your Physical Stamina may be checked in the SSB Interview while the ground task activities.

CDS 1/2020 Question Paper Download of All Set
Exam Pattern of CDS 2/2020:
In the CDS Examination, You will be asked about the three subjects. Here is the name of those three subjects that you have to prepare for the CDS written examination:
- English
- General Mathematics
- General Knowledge/Awareness
Through the CDS Examination, a candidate gets selected in the Indian Military academy, Air Force Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Officer Training Academy.
The syllabus for the Officer’s Training Academy is lesser than the other academy. A candidate who wants to join the IMA, AFA or INA, etc. They will have to prepare those that I have given above and for the officer’s Training Academy you will have to prepare only two subjects. Those subjects are:

- General Knowledge

For the Officer’s Training Academy (OTA), a candidate will not have to prepare mathematics. The mode of selection would be completely the same as other academies’ entry.

- Total no. of Question: 300
- Total Time Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
- Each section of the paper would have 100 questions each.
- A candidate will be given 1 marks for each right answer
- 0.33 marks will be deducted for each wrong response.
- Mode of question paper: English and Hindi

How to prepare for CDS 2/2020:
- For English, first, check the English test syllabus.
- To prepare for the English create a habit of reading and improve your vocabulary. You can do it by reading an English newspaper, English articles, etc.
- Set proper time management for the grammar portion.
- Solve the mock test paper and previous year question paper.
- For General knowledge, there is no perfect trick to prepare for this. Just collect information regarding news, international news, defense-related news, etc.
- And for the History, civil and geography prepare with the CDS books. Or books of Major Kalshi Classes.
- For elementary mathematics, this is not so tough portion, most of the questions would be tricky like reasoning, just prepare for the reasoning and also solve the maths till 12th
- Take help from the previous year’s question papers or mock test papers.
