Here are some general eligibility criteria that one must have to appear for the AFACT Examination:

  •  A candidate must have done graduation to appear for this examination.
  •  If the candidate is in the final year or final semester of his graduation are also eligible to apply for this.
  •  A candidate below the age of 25 years must be unmarried.
  • Age Limit: The Age limit for the Ground Duty Branch in Indian Air force is between 19 years old to 26 years old.
  • The age of the candidate should not be more than 26 years old on the date of the commencement of the course.
  •  The age should not be less than 19 years old while applying for this.

  • All male candidates can get permanent commission and Short Service commission and female candidate can get only a short service commission.

Education Branch:

  • A candidate must be post graduated in any discipline from any recognized Institute or University with a minimum of 50% marks.

Accounts Branch:

  • A candidate must be graduated in commerce with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • All male candidates can get permanent commission and Short Service commission and female candidate can get only a short service commission.

Logistic Department:

  • A candidate must be graduated in any discipline from any recognized Institute or University with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • All male candidates can get permanent commission and Short Service commission and female candidate can get only a short service commission.

Meteorology Department:

  • A candidate must have done graduation in science or Statistics or geography or Environmental or Oceanography and any other branch related to the Meteorology are eligible to apply for this.
  • All male candidates can get permanent commission and Short Service commission and female candidate can get only a short service commission.
