Indian Army 10 Interesting Facts:- Indian army is one of the best armies in the world The President of India is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Army, and its professional head is the Chief of Army Staff, who is a four-star general. Two officers have been conferred with the rank of field marshal, a five-star rank, which is a ceremonial position of great honour. The primary mission of the Indian Army is to ensure national security and national unity, to defend the nation from external aggression and internal threats, and to maintain peace and security within its borders.

There are so many interesting facts about the brave Indian Army but here we are going to discuss some important facts about the Indian Army.

1. Indian Army Operate on Siachen Glacier which is the world heightst Battlefield.

The Indian Army continues to control all of the Siachen Glacier and its tributary glaciers. Pakistan has made several unsuccessful attempts to regain control over Siachen. In late 1987, Pakistan mobilised about 8,000 troops and garrisoned them near Khapalu, aiming to capture Bilafond La. During the battle, about 23 Indian soldiers lost their lives, while more than 150 Pakistani troops perished.

Further unsuccessful attempts to reclaim positions were launched by Pakistan in 1990, 1995, 1996, and 1999, most notably in Kargil in the latter year.

2. Battle of Longewala 1971:-

The Battle of Longewala was one of the first major engagements in the western sector during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, fought between assaulting Pakistani forces and Indian defenders

Indian lost only two soldiers in the Longewala battle. Based on this story Bollywood make a famous Border film.

3. Army play important role in Nuclear Test In 1998:-

Indian Army soldiers play a very strategic important role in the successful test of Nuclear. Due to the Indian Army, we are now a Nuclear country. 4. Indian Army is world’s 4th largest Military force:-

Indian Army has a sanctioned strength of 49,932 officers (42,253 serving, being 7,679 under strength), and 1,215,049 enlisted personnel (1,194,864 serving, being 20,185 under strength). Recently, it has been proposed to increase the strength of the army by more than 90,000, to counter the increasing presence of Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control.

5. Indian Army Did not attack first in any country:-

We always believe in peace and harmony in the world that why we did not attack any other country first, but if any country attacks our territory then we always respond with full strength.

6. Indian Army Released about 93000 soldiers of Pakistan:-

We can demand POK in response to 93000 soldiers but we did not because we believe that soldiers of any country are respected and they fight for their nation. Our many enemies are the bad policy of any country toward India.

8. Gorkha Regiment is one of the oldest regiments:-

Since the independence of India in 1947, as per the terms of the Britain–India–Nepal Tripartite Agreement, six Gorkha regiments, formerly part of the British Indian Army, became part of the Indian Army and have served ever since. ANAMIKA Tank Destroyer is a very dangerous tank destroyer made by India. This tank destroyer includes a snake missile called Proserpina. This missile is a third-generation missile that can annihilate its enemy under any circumstances. The firepower of this missile ie tank destroyer is so accurate that no tank can escape it.
