You can join the Indian Navy as an officer right after your 12th through the NDA exam. This exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice in a year for the selection of the Officers into the Indian Armed forces. Eligibility criteria of NDA | Educational qualification for the NDA:
- Candidate must have physics and mathematics in 10+2.
- If you are in class 12th. Then too you can apply.
- Candidate must have 60% marks in PCM in 12th board.
Age Limit for the NDA:
- Age of the candidates must be between 16.5 to 19 yrs old.
- there is no relaxation has been given to the any caste or any religion.
- The age limit is the same for all the categories.
Physical standard for NDA:
This is the defense and you are applying for the post of officer. there are many Physical standards for this. if are only qualified if you match with there Eligibility Criteria. let’s discuss these things in detail.
- Candidate height must be 157cm or more than that.
- Chest expansion should be 5cm or more than that.
- Candidate should do not have a knock knee problem.
- Your elbow should not be turn in outer direction for more than 15 degree.

Exam pattern of NDA
Paper will be given in two parts:-
Part-I In this paper you will be given 120 questions of mathematics.
- Max marks 300.
- Time duration 2.5hrs
- Negative marking 0.33 for each wrong answer.
Part-II In this paper you will be given 50 questions of English and 100 question from GS.
- Max mars 600.
- Time duration 2.5hrs
- Negative marking 0.33 for each wrong answer
NOTE- Candidates will be given 45min rest time between part I and part II paper.

Navy SSR/AA Entry Process:
This entry is basically for the sailors and A candidate can join the Techincal and non- technical branch of Indian Navy as a Sailors.
Selection procedure of Navy SSR/AA:
- Computer-based test
- Physical test
- Medical test
Eligibility Criteria for Navy SSR & AA
- Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
- For the SSR, Candidates must have qualified 10+2 with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- For the AA, candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 55% marks.
Age limit for Navy SSR/AA:
- For both, the vacancies candidate age should be between 17 to 20 on the day of enrollment.
Paper pattern of navy SSR/AA:
- Candidate need to appear for the online test. Which is called the Computer-based Test (CBT)
- The question paper would have 100 questions.
- The time duration of 1 hour.
- Each question will carry 1 mark.
- For each right answer, candidate will be given 1 marks
- And for each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
After the test merit list will be prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance. Qualified candidates will be eligible to go for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and medical test.
