How to prepare for Navy SSR Exam:
Indian Navy SSR stands for Senior Secondary Recruit Basically they are known as sailors. A candidate who will not clear the Computer-based test (Online Test). They will not be qualified for the Physical fitness test. The candidates who will score more than the decided cut-offs. Only those candidates will get shortlisted for the PFT. To understand the preparation let’s understand the Exam pattern First:
- The maximum number of marks is 100, which is divided into 4 equally distributive subjects- Science, English, Mathematics and general awareness.
- Each subject is of 25 marks. The passing marks for each subject are 5 out of 25 marks.
A candidate has to prepare the four subjects to get score better. Each subject would be 25 marks. You will have to prepare the:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- General knowledge
English section is aimed at testing the basic English skills of the candidate like Synonyms, Antonyms, Reading comprehension, Jumbled sentences, Sentence Correction and Fill in the blanks, etc.
General Knowledge requires you to have up-to-date knowledge of Current Affairs, scientific inventions, History, Geography, defense-related news and any other topics of importance.
Mathematics would be asked up to the 12th level. You will have to prepare your maths better till 12th. Most of the questions would be tricky, you can solve them without any formula.
Science: Prepare your science to 12th for better results. You can also buy the book from the market. You can have better preparation for that.
Remember these points:
- For English, first, check the English test syllabus.
- To prepare for the English create a habit of reading and improve your vocabulary. You can do it by reading English newspapers, English articles, etc.
- Set proper time management for the grammar portion.
- Solve mock test paper and previous year question paper.
- For General knowledge, there is no perfect trick to prepare for this. Just collect information regarding news, international news, defense-related news, etc.
- And for the History, civil and geography prepare with the SSR books. Or books of Major Kalshi Classes.
- For mathematics, prepare your maths till 12th. all the questions would be asked from there only.
- Take help from the previous year’s question papers or mock test papers.
