There is two major ways to join the Indian Amry after as an Engineer after class 12th and after graduation. Both the entries are completely direct entry scheme. A candidate will not have to appear for any written exam, and he will be called for the SSB Interview on the basis of there marks scored in the 12th marks or graduation degree marks. How to Become Engineer in Indian Army:
There are two ways to join the Indian Army as an Engineer, one entry are after the 12th and second entry is after the graduation in a technical field:

Selection Procedure of 10+2 TES:
- Candidates would be selected on the basis of merit.
- Merit would be made on the basis of your class 12th mark sheet.
- After the submission of the application, the Indian Army team will declare the cut-off according to your 12th mark sheet.
- Shortlisted candidates will be detailed to undergo SSB Interview.
- Final merit list will be displayed at the Directorate General of Recruiting website http://www.joinindianarmy.nic
Educational qualification required in TES 10+2:
- Only those candidates can apply who is having physics, chemistry, and mathematics at 10+2 level. With a minimum of 70% marks.
- Eligibility condition for calculating the PCM percentage of various state /central boards will be based on marks obtained in Class XII only.
Age Limit Criteria in 10+2 TES:
- The age limit for this vacancy is similar to the NDA exams.
- Candidate’s age should not be less than 16.5yrs and should not more than 19.5yrs old.
- Candidate should not be born before 02 Jan 2001 and not after 01 Jan 2004.
- Candidate should note that only the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination or an equivalent certificate will be accepted. No other document relating to age will be accepted.
Important Note about 10+2 TES:
- Only unmarried candidates can apply for TES.
- Candidate cannot marry while he/she on training.
- If you’re appearing SSB for the First time, you can avail III tier AC from the board.
- All the expenses of yours while training will be given by the Indian Army.
- You will get a stipend while you are in training.

Technical Graduates Course Entry:
A candidate can apply for this entry only after graduation, there is some eligibility Criteria and age Limit required for this entry. let’s discuss these things:
Educational Qualification Required for Applying:
- Candidates who have passed the Engineering Degree course or in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply.
- The candidate studying in the final year of Engineering degree course should be able to submit proof of passing.
- Produce the Engg Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at IMA.
Age Limit Criteria in TGC:
- The Age Limit of the candidate must be between 20 to 27 years.
- There is no age relaxation has been given to any special Categories.
- Age Limit is the same for all the categories.
Selection Procedure of TGC Entry:
- Shortlisting of Applications-Integrated HQ of MoD(Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cutoff percentage of marks for each Engineering discipline/stream without assigning any reason.
- After the shortlisting of applications, the center allotment will be intimated to the candidate via their email. After allotment of Selection Centre, candidates will have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates on a first come first served basis, up to a specified date.
- Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cutoff percentage will be interviewed at Selection Centres.
- Call Up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centres through candidate’s registered e-mail id and through SMS only.
- Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available.

Indian Army SSC Technical Entry Scheme:-
The SSC Short Service Commission in the Indian Armed forces is for just certain period of time, this is just 8 to 14 years of service, In this service, you cannot take retirement without any major reason before the 8 years of service, you cannot work more than 14 years.
Eligibility Criteria:-
- A candidate must be a citizen of India.
- A candidate who has passed the Engineering degree course is eligible to apply for this post.
