Join Indian Airforce after 12th:
- NDA Exam (National defense Academy)

National Defense Academy Examination:

Selection procedure of NDA
- Written exam (conducted by UPSC)
- SSB Interview
- Medical test
Eligibility criteria of NDA | Educational qualification for the NDA:
- Candidate must have physics and mathematics in 10+2.
- If you are in class 12th. Then too you can apply.
- Candidate must have 60% marks in PCM in 12th board.
Age Limit for the NDA:
- The age of the candidates must be between 16.5 to 19 yrs old.
- There is no relaxation has been given to any caste or any religion.
- The age limit is the same for all the categories.
Physical standard for NDA:
This is the defense and you are applying for the post of officer. there are many Physical standards for this. if are only qualified if you match with there Eligibility Criteria. let’s discuss these things in detail:
- Candidate height must be 157cm or more than that.
- Chest expansion should be 5cm or more than that.
- Candidate should do not have a knock knee problem.
- Your elbow should not be turn in outer direction for more than 15 degrees.
- candidate must have proper BMI (Body Mass Index) etc.
Exam pattern of NDA:
Paper will be given in two parts:-
Part-I In this paper you will be given 120 questions of mathematics.
- Max marks 300.
- Time duration 2.5hrs
- Negative marking 0.33 for each wrong answer.
Part-II In this paper you will be given 50 questions of English and 100 questions from GS.
- Max mars 600.
- Time duration 2.5hrs
- Negative marking 0.33 for each wrong answer
NOTE- Candidates will be given 45min rest time between part I and part II paper.

Air force Group X and Y Examination:

Eligibility for X and Y group of Indian Air force:

Group Y (Except Automobile Technician) Trades:
- The Candidate must have Passed Intermediate in any stream/subjects approved by Central/ State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks.
- The candidate must have 50% marks in English.
Indian Air Force X and Y Group Syllabus and Exam Pattern
Selection Process of Air force X and Y group:
The Selection Process of the candidate would be in four Phases and it is mandatory to clear each phase:
Phase 1: which is Online test
Phase 2: which is a physical test.
Right after you clear the Online test of Airmen, You will appear for phase 2 and its Physical test. This is also called as PFT (Physical fitness test). In this, you will be also given marks. Here are required a physical standard for the Airforce X and Y:-
- The height of the candidate should not be less than 152 cm.
- The chest should be well developed.
- The minimum Expansion of Chest should be 5cm.
- 1.6 km Running in 6.5 minutes.
- 10 pushups
- 10 sit-ups
- 20 squats

After this test, the candidate will appear for the following tests which are given below:
- Adaptability Test 1: In this test, you have to pass the Situation Reaction Test and after that, in the Adaptability 3 you will get Group Discussion.
- Adaptability Test 2: In this, you will get Group Discussion, where you will be sitting with the 15 candidates and on the given topic you have the discussion with other candidates. While discussing with the other, remember you have to give some relevant points so that you get enough points to qualify for the next stage.
Phase 3: This is medical exams, where your body will be fully tested under the guidance of Military doctors.
Phase 4: The All India Merit List will be prepared on the basis of your overall performance in the exam. You have to clear that too also.
