SSC Tech SSB Interview Dates Out Now:- Male and female engineering graduates who have applied for the Indian Army’s Short Service Commission Technical Entry, also known as SSC-Tech Entry, will have to go through an SSB Interview to become an officer in the Indian Army. The Indian Army released a notification in February 2023 for SSC Tech 61 men and SSCW Tech 32 women for the course commencing in October 2023 at OTA Chennai.

SSC Tech 61 and SSC Tech 32 Women Merit List:

It is important to note that clearing the SSB interview does not ensure final selection for the SSC Tech entry. The candidates will be evaluated based on their performance at the interview, and a merit list will be created accordingly. In case of candidates receiving the same SSB marks, the older candidate(s) will be ranked higher in merit. If there is a tie in terms of SSB marks and age, the candidate(s) with a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the merit list. Other factors such as higher educational qualifications or previous performances will not be considered.

How To Select SSC Tech 61 Male and SSC Tech 32 Women SSB Interview Date:-

To select the Indian Army SSC Tech SSB interview date, you need to follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Visit the official Indian Army website and log in with your registered email ID and password.
  2. Once you are logged in, click on the ‘Officer Selection’ tab and select ‘SSC Tech Men‘ or ‘SSCW Tech Women’ depending on your gender.
  3. Click on the ‘SSB Interview Dates’ option to view the available interview dates.
  4. Select the date and venue that is convenient for you and click on the ‘Apply’ button.
  5. You will receive a confirmation of your interview date and venue via email and SMS.
  6. Download and take a printout of the interview call letter.
  7. Report to the designated SSB interview center on the specified date and time.

How to Prepare for SSC Tech SSB Interview-MKC

SSC Tech SSB Interview Dates Instruction:-

Only eligible candidates who have been shortlisted will undergo the SSB at Selection Centres in Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Jalandhar (PB). The respective Selection Centre will issue a call-up letter for the SSB interview on the candidates’ registered email ID and SMS. The Directorate General of Recruiting, IHQ of MoD (Army) will decide the allocation of the Selection Centre, and no requests for changes will be entertained.

The SSB interview will consist of a two-stage selection procedure. Candidates who clear Stage I will advance to Stage II, while those who fail in Stage I will be sent back on the same day. The SSB interview will span five days, and candidates can find detailed information regarding the same on the Directorate General of Recruiting’s official website, www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates who are recommended after Stage II will have to undergo a medical examination.

Candidates who have been recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.

SSC Tech Interview Process 2023:-

The SSB Interview process for SSC Tech includes the following stages:

  1. Screening Test: On the first day of the SSB interview, candidates will undergo a screening test, which includes Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) and Picture Perception and Description Test (PPDT). The OIR test is a written exam that measures the candidate’s cognitive ability, and the PPDT test assesses their ability to form a story based on a given picture.
  2. Psychological Tests: After clearing the screening test, candidates will undergo a series of psychological tests that aim to assess their personality, aptitude, and compatibility for a career in the armed forces. The psychological tests include the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), Word Association Test (WAT), Situation Reaction Test (SRT), and Self-Description Test (SDT).
  3. Group Testing Officer Tasks: Candidates will be divided into groups and will undergo a series of group tasks such as Group Discussion, Group Planning Exercise, Progressive Group Task, and Group Obstacle Race. The aim of these tasks is to evaluate the candidate’s leadership qualities, communication skills, and ability to work in a team.
  4. Personal Interview: Candidates who have cleared the above stages will appear for an interview with the SSB Interview Board. The interview aims to evaluate the candidate’s mental alertness, presence of mind, communication skills, general knowledge, and suitability for a career in the armed forces.
  5. Conference: The last stage of the SSB interview is the Conference, where all the assessors will meet to discuss the candidate’s performance throughout the SSB interview. The Conference will determine whether the candidate is recommended for further medical tests or not.
