Infantry School in Mhow- Madhya Pradesh organized the Runveer 3.o Marathon Annual Marathon on 24th of October,2021. Third Infantry was organized as a part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. This marathon was organized to commomerate 75 years of Independence.
The marathon saw a total of 2146 members. These members included Military Males, Women and Youngsters of the Military.
After the event, Runveer 3.o Marathon Commandant of Infantry College, Mhow-Lt. Gen Savneet Singh- YSM, SM, VSM honoured the winners of various classes.
The core motive of organizing Runveer 3.o Marathon such occasions by the Military is to inculcate the spirit of journey amongst it’s troopers. On top of this, these Runveer 3.o Marathon occasions inspire them to protect themselves.
10 of the shooters from Mhow have qualified for the Nationwide Taking Pictures Championship. This Nationwide Championship is scheduled to take place in the month of November.
Son of Col. Sanjay Jadhav posted at Mhow,- Anirudh Jadhav along with 9 other shooters has certified for the championship. Anirudh is the only shooter to be certified each in the youth and sub youth class.
The participants of all age groups showed extreme enthusiasm in running and they gathered at the starting point even before the sunrise when it was almost dark.
After the race concluded, Lt Gen Savneet Singh, YSM, SM, VSM, Commandant, Infantry School, Mhow presented prizes to the winners of different categories.
Organisers said that the aim of organising such events by the army is to inculcate the spirit of adventure amongst its soldiers and their families. Also, such events motivate them for keeping themselves physically fit and healthy in their lives.
As part of the national theme “Azadi Ka Amrut Mohatsav”, third Infantry Marathon RUNVEER 3.0 was conducted to commemorate 75 years of Independence. As many 2146 participants including army men, ladies and children of the army participated in various categories of the marathon.
