Flying officer Mawya Sudan Become the first women fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force. She become the 12th woman officer and first from Rajouri to be inducted as a fighter pilot in the air force. Mawya Sudan achieved this milstone by her hard work and her parents feel so proud to his daughter. She is just 24 year old and she was dreaming to become the fighte pilot since childhoob as her borther said. Mawya follows footsteps of Flight Lieutenants Avani Chaturvedi, Bhawana Kanth and Mohana Singh, who made history in 2016, by becoming the first women to be commissioned as flying officers.
The young fighter pilot from J&K has completed her basic training and will now undergo rigorous training for over a year before she can become “fully operational” as a fighter pilot and can take on combat flying.
Sushma Sudan, the mother, said, “I am happy that she has worked so hard and achieved her goal. She has made us feel proud.”
Everyone in the village is happy over Mawya’s news, said her grandmother Pushpa Devi.
