NCC 54 Special Entry Scheme Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must be one of the following:
- A citizen of India, a subject of Bhutan, a person of Nepal, or a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the aim of permanently staying in India
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) above is a person in whose favour the Government of India has issued a certificate of eligibility.
- A certificate of eligibility, on the other hand, will not be required.
Age Limit
Candidates should be aware that the date of birth recorded on the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate on the date of application submission will be the only one considered and granted, and no subsequent requests for change will be considered or granted.
For National Cadet Corps (NCC) applicants aged 19 to 25 on July 1, 2023 (including wards of Battle Casualties) (born not earlier than 02 Jul 1998 and not later than 01 Jul 2004; both dates inclusive).

How to Apply Online for NCC 54 entry?
Follow the steps below to apply online for NCC 54 special entry scheme:
- Begin by visiting the Indian Army’s official website (www.joinindianarmy.nic.in).
- Select the “Registration” link. If you are not already registered on the portal, please do so first. (already registered candidates can skip this step)
- After registering, click the “Apply Online” tab in the dashboard.
- You will be sent to the officer selection-eligibility page.
- Click on the Apply link next to the SSC NCC Special entrance option.
- The application form will be shown.
- Follow the instructions and then click the “Continue” button.
- Fill up the blanks with care.
- Once completed, double-check the information and click the Submit button.
- Finally, print two copies of the application form.
