Working of RAW
RAW supports important operations on foreign land with intelligence. It closely collaborates with Indian intelligence agencies including the Intelligence Bureau (IB). Through clandestine and open operations, the agency gathers intelligence on the military, economy, sciences, and politics.
It also focuses on keeping tabs on terrorist organisations and organisations that smuggle guns and ammunition into India. India’s neighbours are the main subject of RAW. The information gathered by RAW is also helpful to Indian officials, who utilise it to update their foreign and national security policies.
