Ways to become Officer in Indian Navy:

To become An officer in the Indian Navy. There is a total of four ways to be officers or serve as an officer in the Indian Navy service:

  • NDA (National Defence Academy) Exam
  • CDS (Combined Defence Service) Exam
  • INET (Indian Navy Entrance Test)
  • NCC Special Entry

NDA (National Defence Academy):

The Exam is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year. You can apply for this exam to become an Officer in the Indian Navy. Let’s See the age limit and eligibility criteria of NDA exam:

Selection procedure of NDA

  • Written exam (conducted by UPSC)
  • SSB Interview
  • Medical test

Eligibility criteria of NDA:

  • Candidate must have physics and mathematics in 10+2.
  • If you are in class 12th. Then too you can apply.
  • Candidate must have 60% marks in PCM in 12th board.

Age Limit for the NDA:

  •  The age of the candidates must be between 16.5 to 19 yrs old.
  • there is no relaxation has been given to any caste or any religion.
  • The age limit is the same for all the categories.

NDA Selection Process 2020 and Exam Procedure

CDS(Combined Defence Service) Exam:

CDS Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern

INET (Indian Navy Entrance Test):

This exam recently launched by Indian Navy and conducted by the Indian Navy itself for the recruitment of the officer into the service. let’s see the details of the INET exam it selection Procedure and Eligibility Criteria etc.

SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR INET OF INDIAN NAVY:-

  • Written Exam
  • SSB interview
  • Medical test

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

  • Only graduates are allowed to apply for this Vacancy.
  • Candidate must have done B.E or B.tech in any discipline for any recognized Institute with physics and mathematics at 10+2 level.

AGE LIMIT:-

  • Candidate age must be between 19 to 24yrs old as per their class 1oth certificate.
  • No, any Special Age relaxation has been given to any caste or Community.

INET Exam Eligibility, Age Limit, Indian Navy Entrance test details

NCC (National Cadets Corps) Special Entry:

This is a Special entry Scheme of the Indian Navy If you have done the NCC course and you have a ‘C’ certificate with minimum ‘B’ grade you can apply for the NCC Special Entry. The Candidate will not have to appear for Written exam, The Candidate will be directly called for the SSB Interview and then medical tests.

Eligibility criteria of NCC Special Entry:

  • You Can for this After 12th or after graduation.
  • If you have done NCC junior wings you can apply for this after 12th.
  • If you have done NCC senior wings, you can apply for graduation.
  • The qualification is the same as it is for the NDA, CDS, and INET.

Age Limit for NCC special Entry:

  • The age limit for the Junior Wings must be between 16 to 19yrs old.
  • And the age limit for the Senior Wings must be Between 19 to 24 years old.
