FATF Retains Pakistan on Grey List

FATF retains Pakistan in 'grey list', gives June deadline to implement  action plan | Indiablooms - First Portal on Digital News Management

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) decided to retain Pakistan on “increased monitoring list’ If we see the background of this then we found that the FATF had issued the 27-point action plan after placing Pakistan on the ‘Grey List’ in June 2018. The action plan pertains to curbing money laundering and terror financing.
Pakistan not fully complied with 6 of the 27 directives made by FATF.

The FATF said Pakistan had failed to take appropriate action against UN-designated terrorists such as 26/11 accused Hafiz Saeed and JeM chief Masood Azhar. However, Pakistan has completed 26 of the 27 action items. Remaining in the Grey list Pakistan will not adhere any extra financial assistance from World Bank, IMF and from other important institutions.

The United Nations Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day is observed every year on June 27 since 2017 to celebrate the work of MSME in local and global economies and their contribution to sustainable development.

Suresh N Patel appointed as acting CVC

Vigilance Commissioner, Suresh N Patel has been appointed as the acting Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) of India in the Central Vigilance Commission with immediate effect. He replaced Sanjay Kothari, who completed his term on June 23, 2021.
