Armed Forces Medical Services Notification – 2021

Introduction:

Applications are invited for the both male and female MBBS graduates, who have also done their internship and passed the examination in not more than one attempts and completed their internship before 30 November, 2021

The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is a prominent medical training institute in Pune, Maharashtra.

The college is supervised by Indian Armed Forces. It is ranked among the best medical colleges in throughout the whole country. Also 34th best medical colleges at global stage by CEO World Magazine 2021.

Armed Forces Medical Services

It was established in May 1948 as a post- graduate teaching institution in aftermath of the Second World War on the recommendation of the then formed BC Roy committee.

The college holds various remnants of Indian Army Medical Corps units that were integrated to create the Armed Forces Medical Services.

The AFMC wing for undergraduates was established on 4 august 1962 which is also celebrated as AFMC day annually by its alumni’s.
Armed Forces Medical College’s prime motto to impart the training to medical undergraduates and post graduates like dental, nursing and paramedical staff.

AFMC Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:

  • Candidate holding a MBBS/PG Diploma should not have attained the age of 30 years.
  • Candidates holding a Post Graduates should not have attained the age of 35 years.

Educational Qualification:

1- Applying candidate must possess the  medical qualification of the IMC Act that included in the First/Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule.
2- The candidate must have permanent registration from any state Medical Council/MCI .
3- Also all the applicants must possess post graduate degree/diploma by state medical council.

Place Of Interview:  

The place of the Interview will be the New Delhi. All the selected candidates will have to come New Delhi for their Interview to be done.

Vacancies:

There are total of 200 vacancies in which 180 are for male candidates and 20 are for female candidates.

Selection Procedure:

Interview:

Those candidates who are eligible will be called for an Interview by a Board of Officers in the month of December 2021 at Army Hospital in Delhi Cantt. to assess their personality traits and grant of Short Service Commission accordingly.

Physical and Medical Standard:

Candidate qualifying in Interview will have to attend the Special Medical Examination conducted by Medical Board which is constituted by Director General Armed Forces Medical Services for examining his or her medical fitness as per laid down standards.

Note:

Candidates are advised in their own interest to undergo a preliminary medical checkup before reporting for the SSC interview.

Call Letters for interview:

The Call Letters for interview shall be made available after last date of submission of application online to all candidates who have successfully registered.

The Attestation Form is available on the website.

Candidates are required to bring the completed Attestation Form (in triplicate) positively at the time of interview, duly filled in and attested by the authority as mentioned  of Attestation Form without which, they are liable to be rejected.

Application Fee:

A Fee of Rs. 200/- will be charged from the applicants towards application processing.

The requisite amount is required to be paid at the end of the application submission through online payment.
