Indian Air Force Invites Indian Citizens as commissioned officers in flying and ground duty to be a part of Indian Air Force for both technical and non-technical branches. AFCAT 2 2019 registration will open on 1st Jun 2019. The last date of registration is 30th Jun 2019. Aspiring candidates can apply through the IAF OR AFCAT website respectively.
This Course will commence in JULY 2020

Candidates can apply online for Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Technical and Non-Technical branches along with Permanent Commission (PC). Also, applications can be applied for grant of PC/SSC for NCC special entry scheme and for Meteorology Entry too.

AFCAT 2 2019 | Type of Commission
- PC for Men – Candidates joining as Permanent Commissioned Officers can serve till the age of superannuation as per the branch and rank respectively.
- SSC for Men and Women – Candidates joining as Short Service Commissioned Officers can serve for fourteen years from the date of commissioning which is non-extendable. Also, for the SSC officers in Ground Duty (Tech and Non-Tech) branches would be for a period of ten years along with an extension of four years.
AFCAT 2 2019 | Age Criteria
- For Flying Branch – 20 to 24 years according to 1st July 2020 which means that candidates has to be born from 2nd July 1996 to 1st July 2000 (both dates inclusive).
- Also, candidates having valid and current Commercial Pilot License that has been issued by DGCA (India), their upper age limit can be relaxable upto 26 years which means the candidate has to be born from 2nd July 1994 to 1st July 2000 (both dates inclusive).
- For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branches – 20 to 26 years as on 1st July 2020 which means that candidate has to be born from 2nd July 1994 to 1st Jul 2000 (both dates inclusive)
