As you guys know AFCAT releases notification for recruitment twice a year and eligible candidates can apply from 1st December 2020. Here are the important dates regarding the AFCAT 1 2021 Notification.
- Online application begins from 1st December 2020
- Last Date to apply online: 30 December 2022
- Date of Examination: February 2021
- Admit will be released in January 2021
- AFCAT result declaration: March 2021
Now let’s see the other details about the exam like its selection process and what are the required eligibility Criteria that is mandatory to have to apply for the vacancy.
As you know, for the Technical Branch candidate will have to give one more exam which is the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) by this they test your knowledge and eligibility for the technical branch. The candidate will have to clear both AFCAT + EKT in order to join the technical branch. we will discuss everything related to the exam below:
AFCAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria:
Eligibility criteria are completely the same as it was earlier, the only changes are in Age limit for AFCAT EKT which I have mentioned below:-
- Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
- Candidate should have physics and mathematics in class 12th
- Candidate must have B.tech/B.E degree with 60% marks.
- Only graduates can apply for this, or appearing in the final semester or year can also apply.
- Candidates below the age of 25 must be unmarried before the commencement of the course.
Age limit for AFCAT 2021:
There are three branches in the Air force and the age limit is different for each branch. I have mentioned the age below Branch wise:-
- Flying Branch:- 20 to24 yrs years.
- Technical Branch and Ground Duty Branch:- 20 to 26 yrs old.
There is no relaxation has been given to any particular caste, community or religion. The age Limit will be same for all.

The Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the three phases of the exam. One will have to appear for the:
- Written Examination
- AFSB Interview
- Medical Test

- Questions will be in English only for both AFCAT and EKT

Marking Scheme is as follows:-
- Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
- One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
- No marks for unattempted questions
- Questions will be based on the metric system of Weights & Measures wherever applicable.
- Candidates are required to appear for the Online AFCAT in person. Under no circumstance will any scribe or another candidate be allowed to appear/ assist in the exam.
- Air Force has the discretion to fix qualifying marks in any or all the subjects of the examination.

How to apply for AFCAT 1 2021:

- Go to the AFCAT Official Website www.afcat.cdac.in
- Click on the latest AFCAT Latest Notification.
- You will be redirected to the Application form page.
- You may have to register yourself as a new user.
- Fill the form carefully and mention all the details that are marked as mandatory.
- Click on Submit button at last.
