AFCAT Notification – 2022

Introduction:

The Indian Air Force has released a notification for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) for the session of 2022.

IAF has invited the candidates to be a part of this elite force as a gazetted officers in flying and ground duty officers.

The candidature is applicable for both Men and women and the exam will be conducted on online mode.

Applying candidate need to fulfill all the eligibility conditions given below in order to get selected in the Air Force.

AFCAT

Age Limit:

Candidate applying for Flying Branch through AFCAT-

The age limit of the candidate should be in the age group of 20 to 24 years as on 1 July 2022. They should born between 02 July 1998 and 01 July 2002.

Note

  • It should be noted that both the dates should be included in order to fill the form
  • Candidates holding Commercial Pilot License Issued by Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in India is relaxable up to 26 years.
  • Those candidates should be born between 02 July 1996 to 01 July 2002 (both the dates are included).

Candidate applying for Ground Duty (Technical and Non – Technical) Branch:

The age limit of the candidate should be in the age group of 20 to 26 years as on 1 July 2022. They should born between 02 July 1996 and 01 July 2002 (both the dates are included).

Marital Status :

Candidate should be below 25 years of age must be unmarried.

Educational Qualification:

Flying Branch – 

  • Candidates should passed with a minimum of 50% mark each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level

                                      and

  • Graduation from a recognized university with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent

                                      or

  • BE/ B.Tech degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent

Ground Duty Technical

Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) :

  • Candidates should passed with a minimum of 50% mark each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level

                              and

  • Four years graduation or integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering or  Technology from recognized University

                                  or

  • Cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers  or Aeronautical Society of India

                                             or

  •  Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks.

Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) :

  • Candidates should passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level

                                                      and 

  • Should passed with Minimum of four years degree graduation or integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from recognized University

                                                      or

  •  Cleared Sections A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks

Ground Duty (Non- Technical) Branches :

Administration

  • Candidate should passed with 10+2 and graduation from any recognized board of India with minimum qualifying marks of 60%

                                                 Or

  • Cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers  or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university with a minimum qualifying marks of 60% mark

Education

Candidate should passed with 10+2 , graduation from any recognized board of India with minimum qualifying marks of 60% and post graduation from 50% marks

Meterology

Candidate should passed with 10+2 and Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream with qualifying marks of 50%.

How to Apply:

  1. Click “CANDIDATE LOGIN’’ on the Home page- leads to AFCAT Sign-in.
  2. In the next page, applicants to click “NOT YET REGISTERED? REGISTER HERE”.
  3. Sign Up: Creation of Log-in ID and applicant will receive a password in his/her registered email id.
  4. After successful registration, sign-in with registered email id and system generated password.
  5. Reset Password- Log-Out (candidates must remember their login ID and password for future use during the examination process)
  6. Fresh Log-in.
  7. Selection of Entry: “AFCAT”; “NCC SPECIAL ENTRY FOR FLYING BRANCH”; “METEOROLOGY ENTRY”.
  8. Click “INSTRUCTIONS”. Read Instructions carefully.
  9. Acknowledgement of having read and understood instructions- Check box to proceed to next stage.
  10. Click “APPLICATION FORM FILLING”
  11. Click “MAKE PAYMENT”- Online (applicable only for AFCAT)
  12. Click “PAYMENT STATUS” to view whether payment is successful. If registration Number is displayed, it implies that the payment is successful.
  13. For AFCAT Candidates Only: After 09 Aug 2021 click “DOWNLOAD ADMIT CARD” to download your Admit Card from the website https://afcat.cdac.in
