HOW TO JOIN NDA 1 2022

INTRODUCTION:

Every year Union Public Service Commission conducts the National Defence Examination twice a year.

Aspirants who are willing to join and serve in the Indian Armed Forces are invited for the application form.

It is conducted on the national level for the young boys and girls in order to give them a chance to join the elite forces of our country.

Candidates are selected for all the three wings of the forces that are Army, Navy and Air Force.

AGE LIMIT for NDA 1 2022:

The age limit of the candidate appearing in the NDA 1 2022 should be in the between 17^1/2 years to 19^1/2 years for both male and female candidates. 

Also the date of birth provided in the matriculation certificate of the candidate will be accepted by the commission.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION NDA 1 2022  –

The criteria for educational qualification of the candidate are different for all the three wings:

For army wing of National Defence Academy:

Candidate should pass the 10+ 2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board of India with Maths and Physics as a subject.

For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy:

Candidate should pass the 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Maths and Chemistry from a recognised board of India.

10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:

Candidate should pass the 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Maths and Chemistry from a recognised board of India.

Selection Procedure –

Applying candidates have to clear three stages of this examination in order to get selected. The details of all the three stages are given below:

• Written Examination
• SSB Interview
• Medical

Written Examination:

The written examination is consisting of three papers Maths, General Awareness and English.

SSB Interview:

Services Selection Board (SSB) is commission that assesses the candidates, becoming officers into the Indian Armed Forces.

The board evaluates the suitability of the candidate for becoming an officer using a standardised protocol of evaluation system which constitutes personality, intelligence tests, and interviews.

There are three techniques of assessing namely:

1. Psychological Testing
2. Interview Testing
3. Group Testing

SSB comprises the panel of assessors, who are officers in the Indian Armed Forces and having their specialisation as Psychologist, GTO (Group Task Officer), and Interviewing Officer.

Medical Examination:

After the SSB Interview is over a merit list is prepared for the candidate who is shortlisted for the final medical examination.

The Medical examination is done in the army hospital by the authorised doctor as per the medical standards of the Forces.
