UN Secretary-General appointed Shombi Sharp as UN Resident Coordinator in India
The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres has appointed Shombi Sharp of the United States (US), a sustainable development expert, as the UN Resident Coordinator in India. Shombi Sharp will lead the UN team in India, and work towards India’s Covid-19 response plans to recover better for the Sustainable Development Goals.

56th DGP Conference at Police Headquarters, Lucknow
Prime Minister Modi will attend the 56th Conference of Director Generals of Police (DGP) and Inspector Generals of Police (IGP) at Police Headquarters, Lucknow on 20-21 November, 2021.
This two day Conference will be held in hybrid format. All the DGP’s of States/UTs and Heads of Central Armed Police Forces and Central Police Organizations will attend the Conference physically in Lucknow. In this conference a wide range of issues including Cyber Crime, Data Governance, Counter Terrrorism challenges, Left Wing Extremism, Emerging Trends in Narcotics trafficking, Prison Reforms among others will be discuss.
