Everyone thinking that Who will be The Next CDS? Now four names are in the race of our next Chief Defence Staff (CDS) of India. After the General Bipin Rawat plane crash and sudden demise of the first CDS of India, the government need to fill the vacant seat of CDS as soon as possible but it becomes very difficult for the government that who will be the next Chief of Defence Staff. There are four names circulated around this post, they are Indian Army Chief, General M M Naravane, former Indian Air Force Chief Air Marshal R K S Bhadauria, IAF Chief Air Marshal V R Chaudhari and Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar.
All the officers are well capable and they served the nation in various positions. But the government wants one person who can continue all pending works of General Bipin Rawat. Most probably retired officers from the head of any 3 wings are appointed as a CDS, so according to this former Indian Air Force Chief Air, Marshal R K S Bhadauria can be appointed as the next CDS. But it can be only predication by Major Kalshi Classes and it is not final.
Eligibility for the post of CDS:-
According to the Indian Government, the Head of the Indian Army, Airforce, Navy can be the CDS but the government has the right to select any person from the three wings who have the capability to be the CDS and cross the 65 years.
Four Names are in the race for the Next CDS:-
1. General Manoj Mukund Naravane:- If we see the next successor of Bipin Rawat then General Manoj Mukund Naravane comes first because the remaining period of service of the previous CDS is 4 years and the Army head can be appointed for the next remaining tenure. But the final decision is the cabinet.
2. Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria:- On the basis of rotation pattern the next CDS can be the RKS Bhadauria. During the formation of the post of CDS government decide that this post can be filled on the basis of rotation patterns from all three wings. And Next CDS must be retired from the armed forces and have 65 years of age. And Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria fit in all the contests.
3. IAF chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari:-He is a newly appointed commanding officer of the Indian Air Force. he is also eligible as he is the current head of IAF. According to Major Kalshi Classes, he is less experience as a head of any wings so the government can avoid his name from the final list.
4. Navy chief Admiral R Hari Kumar:- He is the 25th Chief of the Naval Staff of India. He is also in the race for the next Chief of Defence Staff. He is also one of the eligible candidates for the next CDS post.
These are the 4 names that can be the next CDS, But we have to wait for the decision of the government of Indian for the final Name of CDS.
