ligibility criteria for CAPF AC Exam:–
- Educational Qualification: A candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 20 years, and the maximum age limit is 25 years as of August 1 of the examination year. Age relaxation is provided to reserved category candidates as per government norms.
- Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India.
CAPF AC Selection Process 2023:
The selection process for CAPF AC Exam consists of three stages:
- Written Exam: The first stage is a written examination consisting of two papers.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Standards Test: Candidates who qualify for the written examination will be called for a PET and Medical Standards Test.
- Interview/Personality Test: Candidates who clear the PET and Medical Standards Test will be called for the Interview/Personality Test.
CAPF AC 2023 Written Exam Pattern:
The written examination consists of two papers:
- Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence – 250 marks
- Paper-II: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension – 200 marks
- Paper 2 is hours.
- Paper 2 is 3 hours
Overall, the CAPF AC Exam pattern is designed to test the candidates’ knowledge, aptitude, and physical fitness to serve in the paramilitary forces of India. It is essential to prepare for all the stages of the exam, including the PET and the Interview/Personality Test, to increase your chances of selection.
After clearing all the stages, candidates are selected for the post of Assistant Commandant in various CAPF branches.

Marking Scheme of CAPF Exam 2023:-
The CAPF AC Exam implements a negative marking scheme, wherein an incorrect answer would result in a deduction of 1/3rd of the marks assigned to the respective question. However, no negative marking will be applied to unattempted questions or questions marked for review.
Paper I is an objective-type paper consisting of 125 questions, with each question carrying 1 mark. The maximum marks for this paper are 250, and hence, for each incorrect answer, 0.33 marks will be deducted.

For Paper II, which is the descriptive type paper, the maximum marks are 200. The marks obtained in Paper II will only be considered for shortlisting candidates for the PET/Medical Standards Test and Interview/Personality Test. There is no negative marking for Paper II.
