NDA stands for National Defence Academy. This Academy trains candidates for all three forces i.e., Army, Navy & the Air force.
How to Join NDA?
Aspirants, UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts written examinations twice every year. Those candidates who are eligible to fill up the form, get themselves enrolled & appear in the examination. Every year around 5-6 lakhs student appear in this written examination and a huge number of them does not get selected. After clearing the written examination, one has to appear at (SSB, AFSB, NSB) according to their preference selected in the application form. As mentioned above, the written examinations for NDA is held twice a year. Last year due to the corona pandemic. Both NDA 1/2020 & NDA 2/2020 were conducted together. But candidates get two chances of appearing at SSB’s.

UPSC has released the Application form & candidates can now fill the form. The Application form for the NDA 1/2021 written examination will be filled from 30 Dec. 2020 to 19 January 2021. Given below are details of NDA 1/2021 examination:-
