Passing out Parde is the completion of a course by military or other service personnel or the graduation from a college, largely in Commonwealth nations. Soldiers sometimes take part in a passing out parade upon completion of a basic training course. The military parade during the passing out also consists of military bands and other displays of synchronization discipline such as acrobatics.
In this parade, they will perform all the drills they have learnt and one in the academy and after this parade, they will be allotted their duty with the rank and insignia. Now after the parade, all the candidate will go to their respected wings and do their further training in their chosen field. this is one of the proudest moment for any parents, watching his son getting honoured by the defence Minister. now they are going to start a new life. all the candidates who have passed this beautiful parade are highly trained and highly qualified, now they are going to serve the nation for the rest of their life.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the training schedule has been delayed by a few months. Usually, the OTA Chennai POP is conducted in September every year but now it is postponed to November 2020.
Since the family members did not attend the passing out parade at OTA, the Indian Army would put in maximum efforts to ensure that the event is covered extensively in real-time through media so that they could witness their dear ones gloriously passing out as officers of the Indian Army. The OTA Chennai passing out parade was telecasted live on YouTube, on DD Bharti, and DD Podhigai on 21st November 2020.

During an interview when the Gold medalist was asked about his feelings after completing the Officer Training Academy training and passing out in OTA POP 2020, he said, “I am feeling very good right now, it’s a mixed feeling altogether. Firstly, we are now taking our journey to a new era. We have achieved our goal and now a new life is going to begin. On the other hand, I feel bad because I will be separated from my friends with whom I faced so many hardships and problems. They might not be with us but our enthusiasm will remain the same.
Official Statement on OTA Chennai Parade: It was a matter of great pride to review the parade to welcome these fine men and women into the service as military leaders and aviators.” On the other hand, the spectators were delighted to witness the parade and they were awestruck by the amazing movements of the Warrior Drill team.
