NCC Special Entry is a short service commission (SSC) entry for the NCC Cadets through which male and female NCC Cadets can join the Officers Training Academy Chennai. Indian army has published the NCC special entry 2021 for NCC 49 recruitment. Defense aspirants with an NCC C certificate can apply for this entry.   • For Army NCC NCC Certificate holders, there are 64 vacancies in Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, and 100 in Officer Training Academy, Chennai Short Service Commission every year.
  • NCC certificate holders have 6 vacancy reserves for each vacancy in the Navy and get additional marks in SSB Interview.
  • NCC cadet holders in the Air Force give a bonus of 10% in flight training courses and 5 to 10% marks in Air Force recruitment. Holders who have certificate C do not have to take any written test.

Nationality: –

  1. It is mandatory for the candidate to be a citizen of India.
  2. Candidates who are residing in Bhutan, Nepal, or Tibet. But if they are indigenous to India, then those candidates can also fill this application form.
  3. Candidates of Indian origin who are residing in countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Verma, Malaviya, Vietnam, United Nations Tanzania, etc. They can apply for NCC Entry by getting the residence certificate issued by the Government of India.

Academic qualification for NCC special entry course 49th: –

For NCC certificate C holders: –

  • The candidate should have a degree from a recognized university. It is mandatory to have minimum of 50% marks in all year’s mark sheets.
  • Candidates who are studying in the final year. They can also fill this application form. But they should have minimum of 50% marks in their first 2/3 years (according to the duration of the course).
  • Candidates whose marks will not be 50% will not be selected for the interview.
  • Candidates should have experience of serving in the NCC Senior Division for at least 2 academic years.
  • The candidate must have obtained a minimum B grade in NCC (NCC) certificate “C”.

For degree course candidates: –

  • Candidates who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree. He has to send his certificate and copy of mark sheet to the provisional or degree certificate of director-general of recruitment by 1 April 2021.
  • Candidates who are currently studying in the final year of graduation. They have to send the certificate of passing the bachelor’s degree by 1 April 2021 to the nearby Directorate General of Recruitment.

NCC special entry course 49th Selection Procedure

  • Shortlisting of Applications:- Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right for shortlisting of applications, without assigning any reason. After the shortlisting of applications, the Centre allotment be intimated to candidates via their email.
  • Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres, Allahabad(UP), Bhopal(MP), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Kapurthala (PB).
  • Candidates will put through the two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in stage I will return on the same day.
  • Candidates recommended by the SSB declared medically fit will issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
