Age Limit:
Only unmarried male candidates can apply for Steward, Chef and Sanitary Hygienist and they should be 17-21 years old on the day of enrollment that is must be born between 01 Apr 1998 and 31 Mar 2002 (Both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification:
Candidate must have passed Matriculation Examination from the Boards of School Education recognised by MHRD, Govt. of India

Steward (MR)

They will be required to maintain hygiene in wash-rooms and other areas. In addition, you will also be trained in fire arms and will be allotted other duties for efficient running of organisation
SELECTION PROCEDURE
The applications are to be filled online only on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in and candidates must scan and upload all required documents. The selection procedure is as follows:-
- The Online applications will be sorted out State wise based on class Xth percentage.
(b) Call up Letter-cum-Admit Cards (CLACs) for eligible short listed candidates indicating date, time and place for recruitment tests, which are scheduled during Sep/ Oct 2018, would be required to be downloaded from the official website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in

(c) All original certificates, mark sheets, Domicile certificate and NCC certificate (if held) and Call up Letter-cum-Admit Cards (CLACs) are to be produced at the time of written examination.
(d) Results of the Written Test will be announced on the same day and those who qualify written test will undergo PFT and Initial Medical Examination, which may take 1 -2 days.
(e) Candidates declared Temporary Medically Unfit in the Initial Medical could avail specialist review from the specified Military Hospital within a maximum period of 21 days.
(g) A merit list will be prepared from all the candidates who qualify in all respects depending upon vacancies. And will be available on 21 Feb 19. All candidates, whose names appear in the Merit list, would be required to report to INS Chilka for Final Medical Examination.
