India and Japan Naval Exercise JIMEX-2020 Begin in the Arabian Sea:
The JIMEX Exercise between the Indian Navy and Japan Navy is being held in the North Arabian Sea from September 26 to 28. The 4th edition of India-Japan maritime bilateral exercise JIMEX, between the Japanese Maritime Self-Defence Force and the Indian Navy, completed the 3 days of exercise on September 28, 2020. Last time this exercise has been held in October 2018 off Visakhapatnam, India. JIMEX series of exercises commenced with a special focus on maritime security cooperation. JIMEX 2020 is being conducted in a ‘non-contact at-sea-only format’, in view of COVID-19 restrictions.
