Become a Doctor in Army, Navy and Air Force
The two selection procedures used by the military are a short commission and a permanent commission. Candidates who have already earned their MBBS or BDS degree may apply for a short commission position with the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force. For graduates, the force also notifies permanent commission positions.
Those who just passed the class 12th test with PCB as the main subject are eligible for the permanent commission, which is the second option. These applicants must submit applications and take the NEET test. Admission to the Armed Forces Medical Services is based on the NEET scores. A medical examination and the SSB Interview are further components of the selection process. Any of the three forces were assigned following the merit list. Following admission, the candidates are enrolled in a medical programme where they receive comprehensive training in MBBS or BDS.
Following course completion, candidates are given permanent appointments as doctors in one of the three forces. These applicants are promoted to the position of Lieutenant.
