Union Public Service Commission conducts the Combined Defense Services exam twice a year to select commissioned officers in the Indian Armed Forces. CDS 1 Notification 2023 will release on 21st December 2022.

CDS 1 2023 – Important Dates

CDS 1 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria before applying online for CDS 1 2023. They must have educational qualifications for all the academies with the respective age limits.

CDS 1 2023 Online Application Link

The CDS 1 2023 online application link will be updated here as soon as released officially at @upsc.gov.in. The online application link will be activated from 21st December 2022 onwards. The withdrawal window shall be available to the candidates, after 7 days of the closure of the application window of this examination and it will remain open for 7
days from the date of opening of the same. This withdrawal window will run concurrently with the above correction window i.e. from 18.01.2023 to 24.01.2023.

How to Apply Online for CDS 1 2023?

To apply online for CDS 1 2023 candidates can follow the steps below:

Visit the UPSC official website @upsc.gov.in.
On the top right-hand side of the web page, there are two links namely: “PART-I Registration” and “PART-II Registration”.
Click on Part – 1 Registration then follow the steps below:
As you click on the link for “Part-1 Registration”, a new webpage will appear on the screen. Here, Important Instructions to fill Online Application Form is given.
Read the instructions carefully and click on the ‘Yes’ button available at the bottom of the screen.
Clicking on the ‘Yes’ button takes you to the application form.
Part-1 registration is divided broadly into four pages. Fill them all and click on the Submit button
Then fill in the choice for the examination centre
Upload the necessary documents
Then Pay the required application fee if applicable.

Application Fee

The CDS 1 2023 application fee is expected to be the same as the previous year. It is Rs. 200/- only.

The CDS 1 2023 selection process comprises three different stages. They are explained below:

CDS Written Exam: The candidates have to appear for the written exam before appearing for the SSB interview.
SSB Interview: Those who make it through the CDS written are called for the CDS SSB interview.
Medical Examination: Then the shortlisted candidates are called for the Medical examination after clearing the CDS SSB Interview.
