Indian Army TGC-131 Notification, Eligibility Criteria for July 2020

Hello Engineering aspirants, the Indian army is going to conduct recruitment for TGC-131 know as Technical Graduate Course-131  commencing on July 2020, Online applications will open from 22 Oct to 20 Nov 2019. Applications are invited from unmarried Male Engineering Graduates for 130th Technical Graduate Course (commencing in July 2020 at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun) for the permanent commission in the Indian Army. Here we are going to share Indian Army TGC-131 Notification, Eligibility Criteria, Commencing on July 2020.

Indian Army TGC-131 Notification:-

Indian Army releases the notification for the recruitment of engineering graduate twice in a year i.e for January Course and July Course. This time TGC-131 Notification is going to release soon and application form will open on 22 Oct 2019, the last date for filling the form will be 20 Nov 2019. We are sharing the detail of notification for TGC-131 July 2020 course.

The eligible candidate for the various discipline of Engineering may apply for this Indian Army Technical Graduate Course -131 before 20 Nov 2019. After submitting the application form, the commission will call you on the basis of marks obtain an engineering course for SSB at your chosen centre.

Indian Army TGS -131 Selection Procedure:-

1. Shortlisting of Application Form
2. SSB Interview
3. Medical Examination

Shortlisting of Applications:-

• Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cutoff percentage of marks for each Engineering discipline/stream.
• After shortlisting of applications, the Centre allotment will be intimated to the candidate via their email. After allotment of Selection Centre, candidates will have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates which are available on a first-come-first-served basis, up to a specified date as will be intimated on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
• Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cutoff percentage will be interviewed at one of the Selection Centres viz. Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (Punjab) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer.

SSB Interview:-

Candidates will be put through the two-stage selection procedure at the SSB. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in Stage I will be returned on the same day. Duration of SSB interviews is five days, This will be followed by a medical examination of the candidates who get recommended after Stage II.

Medical Examination:-

Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued Joining Letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.

Indian Army TGC-131 Eligibility Criteria:- 

Nationality- A candidate must be unmarried male and must either be:-

• A citizen of India, or
• A subject of Bhutan, or
• Subject of Nepal, or
• A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age Limit- 20 to 27 years as on 01 July 2020. (Candidates born between 02 July 1993 and 01 July 2000, both dates inclusive).

The date of birth entered in the Matriculation/ Secondary School Examination certificate or an equivalent examination certificate only is accepted by this office. No other document relating to age will be accepted and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

Educational Qualification for Applying:-

Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply. The candidate studying in the final year of Engg degree course should be able to submit proof of passing by 01 July 2020 and produce the Engg Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at IMA.

Engineering Stream Allow to apply:- 

Civil, Mechanical, Architecture, Electrical / Electrical & Electronics, Computer Sc & Engg / Computer Technology/ Info Tech/ M. Sc Computer Sc, Electronics & Telecom/ Telecommunication/ Electronics & Comn/ Satellite Communication, Electronics, Metallurgical, Electronics & Instrumentation/ Instrumentation, Micro Electronics and
Microwave.

Important Date:-

Application Start	22 Oct 2019
Application End	20 Nov 2019
Course Commencing on	July 2020

Type of Commission:-

Grant of Commission:-  Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission on probation in the rank of Lt from the date of commencement of the course or the date of reporting at IMA, whichever is later and will be entitled to full pay and allowances admissible to Lt during the training period. Pay & allowances will be paid after successful completion of training.

Permanent Commission:-  On successful completion of training cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt.

Training:- 

Selected candidates will be detailed for training at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun according to their position in the final order of merit, engineering stream-wise up to the number of vacancies available at the time.

Duration of training:- 49 weeks

Note:- Candidates will neither be allowed to marry during the period of training nor he be allowed to live with parents/Guardians. Candidates must not marry until they complete the full training at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. 

Cost of Training:- The entire cost of training is at Government expense. In case the GC is withdrawn from training academy due to reasons, not beyond his control, he will be liable to refund the cost of training @ Rs. 10247/- per week (or as notified from time to time) for the period of his stay at Indian Military Academy

The final allocation of Arms/Services will be made prior to passing out of gentleman cadets from IMA. The candidate will not have any objection in the event of his final selection on the allotment of any arms/service in the interest of the organisation
