AGE – Air Force X & Y Notification 01/2019
- Aspirants born between 19 January 1999 and 01 January 2003 (both days inclusive) can apply for the exam.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION – Air Force X & Y Notification 01/2019
X Group – Air Force X & Y Notification 01/2019
- Passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
- Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English (If English not a subject in Diploma, must have 50% in English in 10th).
Y Group – Air Force X & Y Notification 01/2019
- Passed 10+2 in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Y Group (Medical Assistant Trade Only)
- Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

PHASE I: ONLINE EXAM – Air Force X & Y Notification 01/2019
An online exam is conducted and an applicant can appear in X Group Exam (Technical Group), Y Group Exam (Non-Technical Group) or both. Details are given below.

PHASE II – Air Force X & Y Notification 01/2019
The result of Phase I is declared fifteen to thirty days after the Online Exam. Applicants have to clear the total marks cut off as well as the subject wise cut off to clear phase I and to be eligible for Phase II. Applicants who successfully clear the Phase I of Air Force X & Y Group Exam will get a separate admit card for Phase II which consists of the following.
Physical Fitness test
- 6 Km race to be completed within 06 minutes 30 seconds,
- 10 Push-ups,
- 10 Sit-ups and
- 20 Squats
Adaptability Test- I
It’s a 30 minutes test in which the question paper has 45 questions out of which 5 to 8 questions are from Reasoning and the remaining are Situation Reaction Test. It’s mandatory for applicants to attempt all the questions. (Only the applicants who clear PFT will be eligible to appear in Adaptability Test- I)
Adaptability Test- II
In this, the applicants are divided into groups of 15 and one by one each group is given a Group Discussion topic. Each applicant is given one minute to introduce himself and to say a few words about the Group Discussion Topic. Once everyone is done, a group Discussion starts among all the fifteen applicants.
PHASE III: MEDICAL – Air Force X & Y Notification 01/2019
Applicants who clear phase II are given an appointment for Medical Examination which is normally conducted after two months.
After all phases, a Provisional Select List will be released on 31st October 2019 and the final Enrollment list will be released on 10th December 2019. The joining and training will happen in January 2020.
