Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan is recipient of the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal, he has commanded of missile vessels INS Vidyut and Vinash; the missile corvette, INS Kulish; the guided missile destroyer, INS Mysore and the aircraft carrier, INS Vikramaditya.
