INDIAN ARMY TEAM WON A GOLD MEDAL IN CAMBRIAN PATROL COMPETITION
I feel very proud to be a part of the country of brave hearts. Indian army never fails to fascinate with their performance. The team of Indian Army has won a Gold Medal in the Cambrian Patrol Competition in UK.
Indian Army was represented by a team from the 4/5 Gorkha Rifles(frontier face). This team represented the Indian Army won Gold Medal in the Cambrian Patrol Exercise organized at Brecon, Wales, United Kingdom. The exercise started off at October 13th and came to an end on 15th October,2021.
The exercise organized by the UK Army named Cambrian Patrol Exercise is considered to be an ultimate test of human endurance and team spirit. This exercise is also referred to as the Olympics of Military Patrolling among the defence militaries in the world.
Team India participated in this exercise and competed against 96 teams in total. These teams included 17 teams representing Special Forces and all other prestigious regiments from across the world.
The teams were assessed on the basis of their performance under the harsh terrain and extreme cold weather conditions. These conditions served as challenges for all the teams.
The Indian Army team received laurels for the excellent navigation skills they show cased. Along with the navigation skills they were way too impressive with their delivery of patrol orders and overall physical endurance.
The Indian team was presented with the gold medal by the Chief of General Staff of the British Army” General Sir Mark Carleton-Smith”. A formal ceremony was organized on 15th of October, 2021.
