Indian Army Cap. & Flying Sikh Milkha Singh Passed away
Milkha Singh popularly known as “the Flying Sikh”, Singh won four Asian gold medals and finished fourth in the 400m final at the 1960 Rome Olympics has died from Covid-related complications, aged 91.The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi pays tribute over his demise.
Milkha Singh had taken part in the 1956 and 1964 Olympics. He was conferred the Padma Shri, in 1959.
In 2013 his biopic movie was made, in which Farhan Akhtar play his life role.
India-Bhutan: MOU inked to cooperate in areas of Environment
To develop cooperation between two countries in the area of environment, India and Bhutan have signed an MoU.
Key Points:
- Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar signed the MOU virtually.
- It will open new area of bilateral cooperation in the area of climate change, waste management etc.
- This agreement will create best practices in areas like prevention of Air Pollution, Chemical Management, Waste Management, Climate Change, etc.
- By this MOU both nations will exchange TOT and make their environment good.
Zambia’s 1st President Kenneth Kaunda passes away
The first President of Zambia, Kenneth Kaunda has passed away. His time period as president for 27 years from 1964 to 1991. Zambia gained independence from Britain in October 1964.
