Combined Defence Service Examination (CDSE) is conducted two times in a year named as CDS(I) and CDS(II) by the UPSC which is Union Public Service Commission for the recruitment of Indian Military Academy (IMA) , Air Force Academy (AFA), Indian Naval Academy (INA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA). CDS 1/2020 Marking scheme and Exam Pattern:-
There is a total of 3 paper for the CDS 1/2020 Examination (IMA, INA, IFA, ) i.e Mathematics, General Knowledge and English, for but for OTA students there is only two paper i.e English and General Knowledge. The detailed Marking scheme and Exam Pattern is given below.
For the other wings except for OTA

Note:- One-third mark deducted for every incorrect response. 0.33 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
The calculation marks for written exam of CDS Cut off for IMA, INA and AFA are done out of 300 while for OTA (Men & Women) it is calculated out of 200 marks. UPSC CDS 2020 cutoff will release first for CDS written exam followed by SSB Interview. CDS Cut off for final selection is prepared on the basis of the combined score of written exam and SSB Interview. Based on the final CDS cut off score, examination authority, UPSC will release the all India merit list. Shortlisted candidates as per the final merit list are called for training in a respective academy based on their choice/preference.

CDS Application Form 2020
All the applicants should ensure their eligibility as per the criteria mentioned above. The application form will consist of two parts i.e. Part-I and Part-II. Candidates need to go through both parts in order to submit the CDS Application Form 2020.
- The notification for submission of online application form for both CDS-I and CDS-II 2020 exam will be published on the official website of the UPSC.
- CDS 2020 application form can be submitted via online mode only at the official website.
- The registration process has been commenced from 3o October 2019 for the CDS-I 2020.
- Submit only one application, the Commission will not entertain more than one application.
- Candidates have to visit the official website of the UPSC for registration.
- The registration process will consist of two parts i.e. Part-I and Part-II.
- Fill all the details carefully and submit the application form.
Application fee
To complete the registration process for the CDS 2020 exam, one needs to pay the application fee of Rs. 200/-. However, all-female candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST category are exempted from paying the application fee. One can make payment of fee using Net Banking, Debit Card/Credit Card or by cash at SBI Bank.
