There are various ways to join Indian Army as an officer as it offers lucrative career for all youths belonging to all the educational background. Indian army notifies vacancy for the 12th passed students in every sixth month to join technical branch in army which is known as technical entry scheme. Applications are invited from unmarried Male Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Age Limit: A candidate must be between 16½ years and 19½ years e. the candidate should not be born before 01 Jan 1999 and not after 01 Jan 2021 (both days inclusive).
- Educational Qualification: Only those candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for this entry.
VACANCIES:
- (Vacancies are provisional and can be changed depending on the training capacity at the training Academy for this course. The vacancies are subject to increase/decrease keeping the organizational requirement at the point of time.)
TYPE OF COMMISSION:
On successful completion of 4 years of the course cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt.
TRAINING–Total training will be 5 years.

SELECTION PROCEDURE: The selection procedure is as follows:-
As it is a direct entry so there is no written examination.
After getting shortlisted for SSB Interview candidates will have to choose the ssb dates going through the link sent to their account by Indian Army.
SSB Interview will be conducted at one of the selection centres of army among Bhopal/Allhabad/Kapurthala/Bangalore.
SSB interview is a 5 day selection procedure which takes place in two stages. To appear in second stage candidates are supposed to clear screening test which takes place in first stage. Second stage comprises of psychological tests, Group testing series, Personal Interview and Board conference. Once a candidate gets recommended in ssb interview he appears before the medical boards for the medical examination which goes on for 4 to 5 days.
So the crux of the selection procedure is SSB interview and one has to clear it if he wants to go through this entry. SSB interview will be held in Feb/Mar/April. It is the high time for all the aspirants to start the preparation of ssb interview as it is not like a subject but it’s a personality test which requires regular practice and constant efforts towards the aim.
