SRT or Situation Reaction Test is a part of Psychological test battery. In fact, whole psychological test series is a test of pressure and patience. In this test, it is checked that either the candidate can grace his performance or makes it worst. The Psychological test series consist of :-
- TAT (Thematic Apperception Test)
- WAT (Word Association Test)
- SRT (Situation Reaction Test)
- SDT (Self Description Test)
In SRT, the candidates are given 60 situations and they have to write down reactions for each situation respectively. So, roughly candidates get 30 seconds for each situation. As, TAT is different for women candidates. SRT is also different for women candidates. They have to wright slightly different reactions from men. Also, women are expected to give realistic reactions, not the one’s which look impractical & for from reality.
Guidelines for female candidate to approach SRT:-
- Write the reactions close to what you actually feel, don’t try to show over courage and bravery.
- Write the most practical reaction.
- In case of any crime, don’t run behind the accused that is having a weapon. You have to identify the accused, inform the police and co-operate in investigation.
- In situations where you are going out with friends or out of station you have to mention ‘take parents permission.
- Do not think or try to write multiple actions.
- Avoid skipping any situation in between as it shows your lack of knowledge.
- Emotions are the factor which differs them from men. So, don’t leave behind that “Emotion” factor.
- In situations where you are having any differences with any relationship or person of your life then you must talk to them and sort out the matter with logic.
- There could be several situations when you could be asked to choose between defense and other job, then without a second choose defense because that is your passion and that is the reason you are here for.
