On 1st January 2018 Union Public Service Commission released the result of the written examination of Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE)-II, 2017. CDS-II 2017 Examination was conducted by UPSC on 19th November 2017. On the basis of performance of candidates in the written exam, 8692 candidates have been selected for Service Selection Board Interview (SSB)/Air Force Selection Board Interview/Naval Selection board Interview which comes under Ministry Of Defence (MoD).
It is notable that Combined Defence services Examination is conducted twice a year by Union Public Service Commission in the month of February and November.
All those candidates who will be recommended by SSB/AFSB/NSB and will make their name in the merit list will join training courseswhich will commence in July 2018 at Indian Military Academy (IMA)/Air Force Academy (AFA)/Naval Academy (NA) and October 2018 at Officers Training Academy(OTA) .

After final selection Candidates will be joining the following courses:
- Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 145th Course commencing in July, 2018
- Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course (204 F(P)) commencing in August, 2018
- Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, Course commencing in July, 2018
- Officers Training Academy, Chennai 108th SSC Course (NT)(for Men) commencing in October, 2018
- Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 22nd SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in October, 2018
How to check CDS-II 2017 Result?
Candidates need to follow the given steps to check the result-
Step-I: Log on to official website of UPSC which is www.upsc.gov.in.
Step-II: Click on the link ‘Written Result: Combined Defence Services Examination-II 2017’ in what’s new section.
Step-III: A new window will be opened, click on the pdf result.
Step IV: After opening a new pdf go through the important instructions, scroll down and check for your roll number.
All the candidates who have successfully qualified in the written exam are required to register themselves online on the Indian Army Recruiting website joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of announcement of written result. The successful candidates would them be allotted Selection Centres and dates, of SSB interview which shall be communicated on the registered e-mail ID. Any candidate who has already registered earlier on the site will not be required to do so. In case of any query/Login problem, e-mail be forwarded to email@example.com.
