Physical Standard of Assistant Commandant in Indian Coast Guard 2021
Every year Indian Coast Guard released the notification for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant, the eligible candidate’s may apply for this. But before the application, you should know about the Physical Standard of Assistant Commandant. Through this article, you will be know all detail of ICG AC Physical/medical standard.
Physical Standard of Assistant Commandant:-
All candidates recommended by the Final Selection Board will undergo Medical examination at the nearest Military Hospital as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to Assistant Commandant entry.
1. Height:- Assistant Commandant (GD): 157 cms minimum. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. regulations.
2. Weight:– Proportionate to the Height and Age, + 10 % acceptable.
3. Chest:- Well proportionate, minimum expansion 5 cms.
4. Eye Sight:- Asst Commandant (GD)- 6/6 6/9 – Uncorrected without Glass. 6/6 6/6 – Corrected with Glass.
Tattoo:- Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body. However, certain concessions are permitted to candidates belonging to tribal areas/ communities as declared by the Govt. of India. For other candidates, permanent body tattoos are only permitted on the inner face of forearms i.e. from inside of the elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of the palm/back (dorsal) side of the hand. Note:- The above-mentioned requirements are broad medical guidelines/ standards only. However, in addition to the above, the complete medical will be carried out by the laid down medical standard/procedure.
How to apply for Coast Guard Assistant Commandant:
The application will be accepted only online. Go to the official website indiancoastguard.gov.in then click on the “opportunity/career” button and proceed as given below.
- Select the advertisement for the Recruitment of Assistant Commandant 2022 Batch.
- Select the post applied.
- Click on the ‘I Agree‘ button and the ‘Online Application‘ will be displayed.
- Proceed to fill up the application {All Star (*) marked entries are compulsory and to be filled}.
- Candidates have to upload the photograph and signature in .jpeg format (image quality 200 dpi). The size of the photograph and signature must be between 10 kb to 40 kb and 10 kb to 30 kb respectively.
- On completion of filling application, check your filled details once again prior to clicking on the Submit button.

Salary of ICG Assistant Commandant:
The Assistant commandant in the Indian Coast Guard gets paid really well. While they are on the training they get a fixed stipend. After the completion of the training of Coast Guard AC salary. when they get posted as an Assistant commandant they get a salary Between 75000/- to 90000/- per month. The salary in this services always depends on the area of posting and nature of work etc.
