NDA-I 2017 FINAL Result
Union Public Service Commission announced the final result of NDA-I 2017 in which 371 made their name in the final merit list released by UPSC on the basis of the results of the Written Examination held by the Union Public Service Commission on 23rd April, 2017 and the subsequent Interviews held by the Services Selection Board, of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of National Defence Academy for the 139th Course and Naval Academy for the 101st Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd January 2018.

For detailed information regarding the actual date of commencement of the above courses, candidates visit the websites of respected Forces i.e., Army, Navy & Air Force.
This list has been prepared after taking into account the marks of the written examination and SSB Interview. The result of the medical examination is not taken into account while preparing the merit list.
It is also informed to all the selected candidates that the candidature of all the candidates is provisional, subject to their submitting the requisite certificates in support of date of birth and educational qualifications etc.
In case, there is any change of address, the candidates are advised to intimate directly to the Army Headquarters at Additional Directorate General of Recruiting, Adjutant General’s Branch, Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Army), West Block No.III, Wing–I, R.K Puram, NEW Delhi -110066.
The result is also available on the UPSC website at http://www.upsc.gov.in. However, marks of the candidates will be available on the website after 15 days from the date of declaration of final results.

What after Merit List?
After the announcement of the merit list Respective forces will be releasing the Joining Instructions list in which result of the medical examination will also be taken into account and all the candidates on the basis of the merit list will be called for training subject to medical fitness.
NDA-I 2017 Training
After the announcement of the JoiningInstructions candidates will be served joining letters by the respective forces for joining the training. The basic training of National Defence Academy will be of 3 years in which educational and military training will be given jointly to all the candidates who has qualified for Army, Navy & Air Force.
The training is scheduled to commence from 2nd January 2018 for which candidates will start receiving the joining letters from December 2017.
After the completion of the 3 years training at NDA candidates will be sent for military training at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun those who opted Army, Air Force Academy, Hyderabad those whohave opted for Air Force and Naval Academy, Ezhimala Kerala Those who have opted for Indian Navy.
Those candidates who have qualified for Naval Academy will be directly sent to Naval Academy Ezhimala for four B.Tech Degree Course.
After the completion of four year of training cadet will be commissioned in the rank of Lieutenant, Sub Lieutenant & Flying Officer in Army, Navy & Air Force respectively.
