There is no such tips and tricks to prepare yourself for the medical examination. Most of the candidates get rejected in the Internal medical examination. In any defence exams in India either it is for the Indian air force or Indian Navy or Indian Army the basic criteria are always the same, The medical checkups in the Indian defence exam are done by the Military doctors at the Military hospitals.
The Medical check-ups can be different if you are looking to be a Fighter Pilot in the Indian Navy or in the Indian Airforce or Snipers in the Indian Army or for the A grade commandos, etc. The medical would be tough for them. Physical Fitness for Navy INET:
The Physical Standard of INET Entry is not as tough as it is for the other entries, There are only checkups that would be done, which is required to join. Here is a list of those tests and required criteria:
- The Minimum height Required is 162 cm
- The minimum weight required is 60 kg.
- The chest must be 80 cm without expansion and it should be at least 85 with expansion.
- 14 dental Points are essentially required.
- Your body should not carry any genetic disease like joint knees, colour blindness or night blindness.
- Your elbow should not be turned in the outer direction for more than 15 degrees.
- Your joint and your bones should be completely fine.
- Any severe body fracture in any body part can cause permanent rejection.
- Your eyesight must be 6/6 without glasses.
- If you are wearing glasses it should not be worse than 6/12.
- Limits for myopia 0.75D and for Hypermetropia +1.5D
- Binocular vision III
- Limits for colour perception I
- Should not have colour blindness or night blindness.

Indian Navy INET Medical Exam:
The Medical Examination in the Indian Navy is very strict and A candidate will be checked very strictly. In the Medical Examination, A candidate’s outer body parts, as well as Inner body organs, will be checked like:
- Chest X-ray for your lungs.
- Ultrasound for kidney stones.
- The liver problem will be checked
- Blood test
- Urine test
These are the same tests that would be done in the INET Entry. It is easy, if a candidate having an average body posture and never been in any serious injury or Dieses, he/she can easily clear this. If any case you get a rejection from the Medical Board you can re-apply for that. And if they reject you again you can again re-apply. If they reject you, they will give a proper reason for that.
Medical Rejection in Navy INET Entry:
There are basically two types of rejection in the Medical Examination. Temporary Rejection and Permanent Rejection. The permanent rejection is given on the spot. if you have any serious problem that cannot be corrected or it may take a year or more to get correct. In this case, you will get permanent rejection. If you get a permanent rejection from the service. you can apply for the re-medical Examination to the medical Board.
If you have any minor problem and that can be corrected in time. You will get some time from the Medical board. You will have to appear for the medical examination before the time and you will appear for the Re- medical examination.
How to prepare for the INET Medical Exam:
To prepare for the Medical examination. You can follow these five tips that are given below to get a good result. First of all, if you are a drinker or smoker, you will have to quit it for at least a month before the medical examination.
- Have good sleep a night before the exam.
- Avoid Salty and fatty foods at least one month before the examination, It will elevate your blood pressure.
- Avoid Exercise, it will protect you from injury and your heart rate will be also normal.
- Do not drink coffee for any caffeinated product.
- Drink Maximum Water

The Selection of the candidates is done in three phases which are Written Exam, SSB Interview and Medical Exam etc
All the candidates who have done graduation in B.tech or B.E with a Minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply for the INET Vacancy.
