Lt Col Servesh & Col Amit Gets Tenzing Norgay National Award
Indian Army two officers Lieutenant Colonel Servesh Dhadwal and Colonel Amit Bisht have been awarded the Tenzing Norgay National Award 2020. Lieu. Colonel Dhadwal has been awarded for his skydiving activities and Colonel Amit Bisht, Sena Medal was awarded for his land activities.
About Colonel Servesh Dhadwal & Colonel Amit Bisht
Dhadwal is the Chief Instructor of Indian Army Skydiving Team. The officer has trained Indian Army Special Forces & National Security Guards. Lieutenant Colonel Servesh Dhadwal is an ace skydiving instructor. Lt Col Servesh Dhadwal was a member of the top-secret intelligence unit Technical Support Division which was formed in 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.
About Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award
The Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award also known as the ‘National Adventure Awards’ is the highest adventure sports honour of the India. The award is named after Tenzing Norgay, one of the first two individuals to reach the summit of Mount Everest along with Edmund Hillary in 1953. It is awarded annually by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. This award goes to those who shows their outstanding achievement in the field of adventure activities on land, sea and air over the last three years.
Chandraprabha Aitwal is the only double time recipient of the award, which got it on 1994 for land adventure and in 2009 for lifetime achievement.
