Indian Coast Guard issues 3 different notifications after every 6 months to recruit cadets in Non-Officer Ranks, which they popularly call Sailors or Naviks, namely:

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Coast Guard Navik GD 02/2019

 Age: 18 to 22 years

Age requirement to be eligible for Navik GD 02/1019 is 18 to 22 years. That is the applicant should be born between 01 Feb 1998 and 31 January 2002.

Education

Educational requirement to be eligible to apply for Navik GD 02/2019 is that the student should have passed 12th with Maths and Physics and must have scored minimum 50 % marks in aggregate.

There is a 5 % concession to SC/ST candidates and to applicants who have scored 1st, 2nd or 3rd rank sports in International or National level.

Last date to apply

Aspirants will be able to apply for Navik GD vacancy from 26 August 2019 to 1 September 2019.

How to apply

Applicants will be able to apply by clicking opportunity button on homepage of www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in from 26th August to 1st September 2019.

Admit card

The admit card of Indian Coast Guard Navik GD 02/2019 will be available for download from 17 to 23 September 2019 on www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in and applicants will be able to download the Navik GD admit card by entering their E-mail address or registration ID.

Exam Date

Indian Coast Guard Navik GD exam is scheduled in September-October 2019. Coast Guard Navik GD exam is conducted offline. Applications are shortlisted on the basis of percentage acquired in 12th standard in aggregate. Students are able to choose one of the centers while applying.

Syllabus

The written exam of Coast Guard Navik GD is based on 12th standard syllabus and requires knowledge of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, GK, Current Affairs, Arithmetic and Reasoning.

Selection Process

Students who clear the written exam are made to go through Physical fitness test on the same day or the day after. In PFT one needs to clear 1.6 Km race in 7 minutes, 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push up. After clearing PFT students are made to go through Medical Examination. The final merit list is uploaded on Indian Coast Guard official website after approximately 2 months.
