Kanaklata Barua, pride of Assam, one of the youngest martyrs during the Quit India Movement. Barua was 17 when she led the Mukti Bahini, a procession of freedom fighters to hoist the Tricolour at Gohpur police station on September 20, 1942. She was killed in a firing when police tried to stop them from unfurling the flag.

About the Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV):
This Fast Patrol Vessel ships are designed to achieve speeds exceeding 34 knots with an endurance of more than 1,500 nautical miles. The 49-metre-long ship is designed to carry one high-speed rigid inflatable boat (RIB) and one Gemini boat for swift boarding, and search and rescue operations. The entire design of the FPVs has been developed in- house by GRSE as per requirements specified by the Indian Coast Guard. These ships are also fitted with 40/60 Gun as the main armament and have improved habitability features with fully air-conditioned modular accommodation for 35 personnel.
