  1. Shortlisting through NEET (UG) score: The female candidates will have to appear for the NEET UG exam initially. Then the shortlisting will be done based on the NEET score. Then the MErit list will be displayed on the official website @joinindianarmy.nic.in
  2. Verification of Documents: Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification with all the original documents. If the candidates are not able to present the original documents they will be disqualified then and there.
  3. Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGlGE): Moreover, the test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGlGE) will be in the form of a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 40 MCQs of two marks each for a maximum mark of 80. Also, there will be negative marks of 0.5 for every incorrect answer. These 40 questions will be required to be answered in 30 mins.
  4. Psychological Assessment Test (PAT): The PAT is a qualifying examination and the score will not be considered for preparing the final merit list. It is basically the test of psychology somewhat similar to the SSB interview of defense exams but not exactly the same. One of the major differences is that in SSB, GTO is there but in MNS there is no GTO.
  5. Interview: The candidates will be interviewed by a Board of Officers at a designated venue.
  6. Medical Examination: Lastly, all shortlisted candidates will go through Special Medical Board (SMB) at a designated venue. Candidates who will be declared FIT/UNFIT in the medical examination will be informed about their medical status with the reports. They can even make an appeal to the Medical Board.
