CAPF AC Exam Pattern: UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) exam twice a year. For this year, the notification for CAPF has been released on 12th April 2017. Candidates are suggested to visit the official website of UPSC – www.upsc.gov.in and submit their online application form before 05th May 2017. For this, candidates have to pay Application Fee that is Rs200/- (non-refundable). The written exam for UPSC CAPF will be conducted on 23rd July 2017 for 179 vacant seats in various branches, including
- CRPF – Central Reserved police Forces
- BSF – Border Security Forces
- SSB – Sashastra Seema Bal
- CISF – Central Industrial Security Forces
CAPF examination will be conducted in four phases that are-

- Written exam
- Physical Efficiency Test
- Medical standard Test
- Interview/ Personality test
UPSC CAPF AC Exam Pattern
CAPF exam consists of Two Papers. Paper I is the Objective type and Paper II is Subjective type paper. Medium of paper can be either Hindi or English. The paper I consists of 125 Questions (General Ability & General Intelligence). It contains total of 250 Marks along with negative marking for every wrong answer. The duration of Paper I is 2 hours. On the other hand, Paper II is descriptive type so it consists of General Studies, Essay & Comprehension related Questions. It is of 200 marks. The duration of paper II is 3 hours. Aspirants who qualify the written test will be called for Physical Efficiency Test & Personal Interview.

CAPF AC Exam Pattern: Paper I will include topic like General Mental Ability, General Science, Current Events of National and International Importance, Indian Polity and Economy, History of India, Indian and World Geography. On the other hand, Paper II will include Essay Writing, Precise Writing, Counter Argument, and Report Writing.
